A first visit is mainly a conversation. We want to understand your problem, how long you have had it, and what you have already tried, before we examine your skin, hair or nails.
What to bring
- The names of any creams, tablets or supplements you use, or the products themselves
- Earlier test results or reports, if you have them
- A list of your questions
- Photos of how the problem looked when it was at its worst, if it comes and goes
During the consultation
We ask about your health, allergies and work, then examine the affected area. Sometimes we need a small test, such as a skin scraping or a patch test, to be sure of the diagnosis.
Afterwards
We explain what we found in plain language, set out the treatment plan, and tell you what improvement to expect and when to come back. Please ask if anything is unclear.
This article is general information and does not replace a consultation.
